Raindance is the place to go if you are a filmmaker staring out in London. They have talks, knowledge bases and networking opportunities galore, not to mention their excellent film festival.
Our only warning is that it is very much for the beginner, in our opinion, so if you already know your stuff, it is more of a cherry picking exercise for knowledge.
