Joanna Baxter is the perfect wife and mother. Or is she? Does she act out of love and with the best of intentions? Or does she behave selfishly and with calculated manipulation?
As we join the Baxter’s on the eve of a celebration dinner, her son is about to find out the truth behind her facade. For years, Joanna has controlled and steered her family in the direction she has chosen. They have been the key to the creation of her perfect identity and she has always been unwilling to accept and changes or interference to that world
Now she is faced with the prospect of her son leaving home forever, unbalancing everything she has taken such care over. Joanna is prepared to do whatever it takes to stop this happening. It’s going to take lies, deceit, games and murder.
Andrea and Kate find themselves sharing a small part of their lives in an isolated country villa.
Kate is a London fashion model, Andrea an Italian artist who chose to leave behind the city life to enjoy the tranquility of his art in natural surroundings.
In spite of their language and communication difficulties, they manage to get along, using their differences as themes for reflection towards possible radical changes in their life.
Unfortunately, this intimate encounter ends abruptly when Kate’s call for her career forces her toward an imaginary future, concealing the hopes of an apparently better life.
